Homemade Apple Cider Vinegar

If you like apples, and you want to reduce your food waster, or at least get more uses out of your food waste, it’s really easy to make your own Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV) at home, or sometimes called Apple Scrap Vinegar. There are many uses for ACV, such as:

  • hair conditioner

  • natural house-cleaner

  • substitute for lemon juice

  • vegan cashew cheese

  • homemade coleslaw

The only ingredients you need are apple cores or other scraps, sugar, and water. You also need a glass jar and something to cover and secure it with.

This is the recipe referred to in this video, which Natalie first posted in the WFD Facebook group in August 2020:

Let us know if you make your own ACV and any variations!
