Little Miami Watershed Network River Speaks Speaker Series : “Where Streams Begin: Measuring Headwater Discharge at Carriage Hill MetroPark.”
University of Dayton professor Christopher Sheehan and graduate student Lauren Claas present their research that examined how small headwater streams play a vital role in recharging the Miami Aquifer system and supporting water-resource resilience throughout southwestern Ohio. Although headwater streams make up nearly 80% of stream channels globally, they remain one of the least studied parts of river systems.
This program will be Wednesday, May 20th from 6:30–7:30 p.m., presented in partnership with the “Green Team” at Christ Church United Methodist (3440 Shroyer Rd, Kettering, OH 45429)
